1. Tell us about yourself and your practice.
I am a board certified plastic surgeon and have been in practice for the past ten years. My philosophy has always been to provide each patient with the finest personalized care, while creating beautiful, natural results. I treat every single one of my patients as if they were a member of my own family, with the honesty, care and compassion that they deserve.
Through my many years of practice and research, I am nationally renowned for my knowledge and skill in aesthetic surgery, breast surgery and cancer reconstruction. After a full discussion of each option, we will pick the option that best fulfills the patientsÂ’ expectations.
2. Please explain the primary procedures performed by your practice.
I perform a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the face, trunk and extremities. Approximately 60% of my practice is reconstructive surgery and 40% cosmetic. The most common cosmetic procedures I perform are:
- Breast Surgery
- Breast Cancer Reconstruction
- Liposuction
- Tummy Tuck
- Skin Cancer Reconstruction
- Facial Cosmetic Surgery
- Botox Treatments
- Injectible Fillers
- Licensed Aesthetician
3. Do you have hospital privileges to perform this surgery?
Yes, I have hospital privileges at fourteen different hospitals and surgery centers throughout San Diego. I have passed rigorous credentialing, background checks, certification and peer review to obtain privileges at each of these hospitals.
4. What is reconstructive surgery?
Reconstructive surgery involves procedures to correct deformities and defects resulting from trauma, cancer, birth deformities, systemic disease (ex. diabetes, vascular disease), surgical complications, and other non-cosmetic indications. Some examples include burn reconstruction, breast cancer reconstruction, and skin cancer removal.
5. What is the difference between Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery?
In contrast to above, cosmetic surgery procedures are performed to improve the patient's physical appearance to improve their self image and self esteem.
