They say it's time to focus that money on the children who were born here.

Not everyone thinks the group’s purpose is fair.  Some neighbors believe their hurting the chances of children getting a higher education.

“I just want everyone to have a chance at a degree. No one should be denied,” said Michelle Cadena, a Dream Act supporter.   She said if a child is in San Diego than the state is doing the right thing by giving them full rights to learn.

Protestors said they agree with Cadena, just as along as undocumented residents go through the proper legal channels of citizenship.

The Dream Act legislation is set to take effect in January 2013.
