More Carlsbad students return home from China
It's a third celebration for Pacific Ridge students, faculty, and parents, as another group of students and a teacher, quarantined because of possible swine flu stemming from a trip to China, returned home Tuesday night. Three students and one teacher arrived on a chartered bus from Los Angelest International Airport to the school, at just past 7:30 p.m. A large group from the school, held up signs and cheered as the group returned home from a trip that started on June 2nd. On Saturday night, and early Sunday morning, about 30 students were part of the first grooups to return home. Teacher Peyton Bray served as chaperone on the trip. He said that he suffered food poisoning, but also had flu-like symptoms. He tested negative for the H1N1 virus, and said Chinese health officials were helpful. "They did everything they could to take care of us. They did a wonderful job of caring for us, of working to make sure we were on the best health possible," he said.
