SAN DIEGO—
In what may be a first, a San Diego television weathercaster has become the subject of music video. The video, titled "Chrissy," is written and produced by Robert Partridge. In the video, which was posted on YouTube on Sept. 22, Partridge sings the praises of Fox 5 weathercaster Chrissy Russo. Partridge, clearly a fan of Fox 5 Morning News, records the program every day to get Russo's forecasts and traffic reports, as the first verse of the song shows.
"I watch you every day on Fox 5 Morning News.
The show is always saved when I wake up at noon.
I love your instant traffic and your instant weather.
My hopeful forecast is a chance of us together."
Like many Fox 5 Morning News viewers, Partridge appears to be a fan of Chrissy's Outfit of the Day, one of the most popular photo galleries on fox5sandiego.com.
"Chrissy Russo, so fashionable.
Can't wait to see what you'll be wearing today."
The video makes extensive use of Fox 5 Morning News footage intercut with shots of Partridge performing in the song in front of his television. It's too new to determine if it will become a YouTube sensation, but with it's catchy tune, clever lyrics and video production values, it certainly has potential.
