A bicyclist and a police motorcycle officer suffered
minor injuries Tuesday when they collided on a Hillcrest thoroughfare.The accident in the 1000 block of University Avenue in San Diego was reported about 2:40 p.m., SDPD spokesman Gary Hassen said.
Medics took the bicyclist to nearby Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of cuts, scrapes and bruises. The officer also sustained minor abrasions and contusions and complained of pain to his lower back, according to Hassen.
The spokesman said it was unclear if the patrolman was also transported to a hospital.
