LOS ANGELES - A charter company has started offering non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Havana after the Obama administration lifted travel restrictions on Cuban-Americans.

Cuba Travel Services Inc. started running the weekly, five-hour flights Tuesday.

General Manager Michael Zuccato said the Long Beach-based company began the flights after the Obama administration eased restrictions on travel to Cuba earlier this year. Zuccato said the company started direct charter flights between Los Angeles and Havana in 2000 but stopped when the Bush administration tightened rules for travel in 2004.

Zuccato said it is the only flight offered between California and Cuba.
