EL CAJON, Calif -
The 'Midnight Prowler' strikes again in El Cajon.
Another string of burglaries over the weekend brings the total to more than 30 in the past two years, El Cajon police said Monday. Between Friday night and Saturday morning, victims reported three attempted burglaries in the south east part of town and one successful burglary in the Granite Hills neighborhood, investigators said. Three other burglaries were reported the night before in central El Cajon. All of them were within blocks from each other.
A police spokesperson said the serial burglar looks for open doors and windows, enters the home while the residents are asleep and takes purses, wallets, and cash.
"We recommend double checking the doors and windows before going to bed," said Officer John Bennett.
