Deputies Investigate Murder in Lakeside (June 13, 2011) |
LAKESIDE, Calif. -- A Lakeside man who allegedly killed his wife and attempted to kill himself by inhaling carbon monoxide Monday was identified, sheriff's lieutenant said.
Timothy Ralph Danielson, 63, was arrested and charged with murdering his wife at their home on 10300 block of New Bedford Court, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit said.
A woman called 911 about 4:45 a.m. to report that she had just received an email from her brother-in-law saying that he had killed his wife and was about to take his own life, according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Jim Duffy.
Deputies went to the Lakeside home and found the body of the woman in an upstairs bedroom. She appeared to have been shot to death, they said.
Danielson was also in the room with a running portable generator, sheriff's officials said. He was in "medical distress," and taken to UCSD Medical Center, but his medical condition was not immediately released.
Police withheld the woman's name.
