A million dollar yacht is attracting a lot of sailing fans, including Dennis Woody.
Dennis Woody is a local sailing photographer. He has followed the America's Cup for nearly three decades.
"I think the boat is completely fascinating. It's the top of the sport. It's unlimited funding," said Woody
On Wednesday, he captures photos as crews began repairing the $10 million mast on the 90-foot-long BMW Oracle racing yacht that broke during a test run the day before. The yacht, called the BOR 90, is expected to compete for America's Cup in February.
Woody said that America's Cup racing is an elite sport -- a battle of billionaires.
"Whatever you have in your power you can do with a yacht, and these people have a lot of power and money," said Woody.
The BOR 90 is in port for repairs now, but the racing team expects the yacht to be fully race-ready and back on the open sea some time next week.
