An outdoor shopping area in Eastlake has transformed into a giant snow globe until Christmas Eve.

Each night the magical snow fall at the Village Walk in Eastlake is choreographed to music and lights in the courtyard near the center's koi pond.

"We have two shows at night and it runs through December 24th and we're going to get the community involved," said Dianna Lawless, the Village Walk spokesperson. "We have community carolers perform as they walk among the stores."

The nightly slow shows are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Lawless said the snow is made from a secret formula created by a former magician. The creator said the snowflakes are eco-friendly, made mostly water, and vanishes on contact, leaving no wet spots or residue.

If you have kids, mark the second Saturday in December on your calendar.

"December 11th is our 'Family Celebration' and we will have arts and crafts, additional snow falls, and a train ride," said Lawless.

The kids will get free magical snow glasses and antler headbands. Special daytime snow sessions are scheduled for 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. that day. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there giving out free coloring books.
