Bomb scare in Pacific Beach

San Diego police had briefly clocked roads east of Pacific Beach as a bomb squad was called to look at a possible suspicious device inside an ice chest left at a 7-Eleven store at Garnet Avenue at Mission Bay Drive. Officers had closed Mission Bay Drive, and Garnet and Balboa avenues, northeast of Mission Bay. The cooler contained medical specimens, and the roads are being reopened.
