License plates Florida actually approved (Warning: contains profanity)
A committee at Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has reviewed more than 1,800 vanity plate requests in the last 10 years. The ones that get rejected often have objectionable language, sexual innuendo and more. Sometimes, harmless ones -- like G8R H8R -- don't make the cut either. Here's a select look at some of the ones that actually made the cut (see the gallery of rejected ones):

The best plate in history wasn't a vanity plate at all! In 2001, when Florida's plates had a single, larger orange in the center, a computer company in Miami was issued - as a STANDARD plate - A55 RGY. Completely innocuous until you read that juicy round orange as an "O." Don't believe it? Check out http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/florida/assorgy-story, complete with photo.
