She anchored the number one newscast in the San Diego market for 7 years with CBS, before joining the Fox team.  In that time, she also set records for facilitating adoptions through her weekly stories on foster children in need of homes in San Diego County.  She remains a dedicated child advocate today and has been recognized for her devotion to children by San Diego County Adoptions.  She's also continues her work with the Arthritis Foundation in the name of her mother, who suffers from the disease.
