    Holiday spirit can be hard to come by when you’re basking in the sun, have your toes in the sand and are most likely rocking some flip-flops and shorts.    The only chestnuts roasting on an open fire here, come in the form of hotdogs on the backyard grill.  So, if you’re looking to capture some of the nostalgia and magic of Christmas your prospects might appear grim, until you cross the bridge over San Diego Bay and pull into the Hotel Del Coronado.   It’s my favorite place to take family and friends for all that’s Christmas….and the best part, it doesn’t have to cost you a dime.
